double file restarts

It's given us some excitement for a few laps, then the racing goes back to what it usually is. It's definitely helped and getting rid of the lapped cars on the inside has made the race much better.

I love it, too.

The one thing though I wish they would change is also giving all odd-numbered positions the option to start on the outside like they do with the leader. I don't know if it's because of the new car or what, but it seems like every week that the outside is the place to be on a restart, and it was really noticeable at Bristol. Kind of sucks for the guy running in 3rd that the 4th and even 6th place runner can get a jump on him.

Other than that, great success.

I'm rather indifferent, though in the parade type races on the cookie cutters, they make things more interesting, some racing for a spell before they line up and make laps.

The only thing that bothers me is the way that NASCAR has begun to fairly often make changes on whims, it is understandable with a safety matter but i think things like the double files should be implemented between seasons rather than in the process of one.

It's nice when a guy serves a speeding penalty and restarts 20th but now only 10 rows back. It gets those guys a little closer to the front on a restart.

I think it has made the racing much better. I wish they would quit calling it the double file restart "shootout style". I want to bang my head into a brick wall every time I hear that.
