Repeat of the same debate from two years ago. Undoubtedly they hope to RS Guarantano rather than waste a year of eligibility on mop up.

If Dobbs were to be injured then the next best guy will play which may or may not be Dormady.

Guarantano is talented, but he's not ready to assume those duties. I think he even mentioned during the recruiting process that he welcomed a RS his first year, iirc..

I was gonna throw him into the mix as well but he's been awfully quiet, both before and after the transfer/return. For whatever reason a very talented kid just hasn't scratched here. You never know though.....

No, not necessarily, we just never hear much about him. Seems to be all Guarantano with the occasional Dormady sprinkled in for good measure these days.

Sheriron seems like a great and very talented kid who just hasn't been able to scratch here so he's gotten lost in the shuffle. I love seeing the QB spot stacked with talent in Knoxville but hate that someone winds up being the odd man out....and that sure seems to be Jones at this point. Hopefully he gets a shot at some point and does great. Pulling for this kid.

What does this mean? By all media and practice observer accounts, JG is the real deal and wowing this summer. I've honestly not watched one second of practice video but I read and listen to anything I can get my hands on about Team 120 and I've just not heard or read anything about Sheriron being in the QB mix....it seems to be all JG vs QD when duscussing who backs up Dobbs and legitimately fights for being the 2017 starter.

Sheriron is good enough to win ball games for us.

But Dormady is a real prospect.

JG won't start until year 3, unless Dormady gets hurt.

QD can take this offense to another level.

I am just excited that we actually have quality depth at the QB postition again. Once Dobbs graduates, QB play should be a non issue.
