Wes rucker tweeted that Ausmus is going to usc, that he wanted to stay---but DD wants his own guy. "That's the way it is in this business".

Dang, I really wanted to keep Ausmus. Especially if he wanted to stay, this is unfortunate if true.

Don't be a bit surprised if he throws some money at Tommy Moffitt.

Seem's like everytime we get a recruit x trys to get his face back in the media. What a ego!

Thats how he operates. He showed his class with the press conference when he left. Wouldnt answere any questions. Just waite when Tenn ends up with a top 10 class i am sure he will say something to like he should get some credit. Thats how he is.

Why? If the new guy is twice as good, would it be "unfortunate if true"? Some people are making conclusions that are silly. I did not see any superior strength or conditioning last year.

IF the new guy is twice as good then that's fine, but that's a big IF. He was from UT, he was very well liked by the players, and he wanted to be here. So I think it is unfortunate that he was not retained. I'm still not down on CDD or anything, if he wants to go in a different direction that's his decision. But there is nothing silly about me wishing that Ausmus would stay.

I think it is silly for so many people on here to think he cannot be replaced, that he was the best S&C coach on the planet, or that we will not get one just as good if not better, etc. Big deal that we are getting a new S&C coach.

I don't think anyone has said that

One would assume (and hope) that if he's showing someone the door, he must already have something in the works for a replacement.
