"It is hard to expect 17 freshmen and sophomores to play like Hunter and Bray. Every good football team, you need two or three dynamic playmakers on offense and defense. That’s what you have to have to be a good team. When you don’t have them and nobody is filling that void, it becomes tough. Right now, there is not a whole lot of dynamic playmaking going on. We have to find them.”

Makes sense to me, but apparently not to some on here.

In before Dooley is making excuses.

What he says about playmakers is true, absolutely, but great coaches find a way to win a game when they're outmatched, at least every once in a while. Dooley is yet to win that game.

We are never going to have the most talent in the conference. Sooner or later he has to win a game where we are the underdog.

I'm not giving up on Dooley bit he's got to win a big game sooner or later. The great coaches do that.

Just to play devils advocate, is he not blaming the players and making excuses?

Look, Dooley gets another year in my book, but dammit, I would have a little more respect for the man if he would take SOME of the blame.

Ummm, he said "We" have to find them. He was referring to the coaching staff.

He's just stating a fact. He's not pushing the blame on the players. It's just literally a fact. He knows he's part of it too.

He saying that takes time. We cant expect every player we sign to play like Bray, Hunter, or Sammy Watkins from Clemson ( god, I wish we had him).

Some arent ready and take longer to develop. We are having to play guys when their not ready.

Saying Dooley is making excuses implies you guys know something about the team that he doesn't. Which clearly is not the case...

Agree with you. And simply not having enough quality bodies to throw out there.

Guys like Arnett, Neal don't LACK talent. They would just be that much more dangerous when Bray and Hunter are involved.

It's the same with any team. Ours is super flat right now and defenses can pinpoint our few little glimmers of talent and nullify them.

Fine, but I was referring to in-game coaching decisions that negatively effect the outcome of the game as well as adjustments, clock-management, play-calling etc. It's not always the talent issue, Chief.

It prevents rhythm, prevents certain guys from being involved, and prevents certain PLAYS from being used in ideal situations.

Things shall improve.

I hope all these people stick around for 2012 and explain themselves. I cannot wait.

I understand that. But great coaches show you something by the end of year 2.

It just makes you wonder, how many would be starting right now if we had a complete roster.

Its not a knock on any of our players, just some arent ready to carry the load and have all this responsibility. On a complete team, a lot of these guys get redshirted. We may have the least amount of redshirt players in the NCAA

I can see your point. The LSU game should have been a great showing, except that was ****ed up.

Agree, but have we not seen amazing improvement in our pass blocking from last year and improvement in our defense, and Da'rick Rogers looks a lot better than last year.

We are playing with a jv team, I will continue to say that until next year.

You're right, Simms in the shotgun on 4th and 1 was necessary and the right cal based on our talent level.

Haha, we don't even score points in the second half anymore. Get what you're saying coach, but this is bad and getting tired of you saying this every time you have an open mic.

You scored 3 points at home pal, you might want to shut your mouth and start trying to fix it however you can. Keep this up next year and you can start getting that resume together and talk in to a mirror.

And that's why he gets another year, because he had to start by digging himself out of a hole. Its hard to really judge him because of the circumstances. But sooner or later we have to win a game where we are the clear underdog.

We were 1-3 on qb sneaks and our running game was completely shut down. We had to pass.

Don't believe that for a second. How pitiful it is to say that Dooley and Chaney had more confidence in MATT SIMMS ARM than nine blockers getting a push on the line. There is more to that than talent deficiency.

Our offensive line has struggled to get us one yard for a whole. freakin. year. it's sad.
