"I wasn’t disappointed in our second half at all. We came out in the third quarter, put on a great drive to go ahead, 20-14. With three minutes to go in the third quarter we had a good football game and we were in command and then we had a five-six minute stretch where we made a lot of mistakes, where we let the game get away from us and we have to learn from it."

So Dooley wasn't disappointed in our second half play at all?? Yeah coach we could tell when you caught a pass from Bray (Last time I checked you were Coach Dooley and not playing WR) and you were so overjoyed with our second half play that you spiked it into the ground trying to imitate Saban and his tantrums (if he actually was able to pull his arms from under his perfectly groomed armpits and catch a ball that wasn't thrown over is 5'2 head)...

If our coach wasn't disappointed at ALL with our second half play what does that say for him as a coach? That he loves losing and making the same mistakes time and time again? I have been quiet and taken the last 2 years of miserable football seasons giving Dooley the benefit of the doubt given what he inherited but comments like that remove all doubt about your ability to understand we play the game to win not lose. I mean clearly you are a Sabanite and I bet you go in the bathroom at halftime and say to yourself "What would Saban do? What would Saban do?" Catch a pass from my QB and spike it into the ground for the whole world to see, yeah yeah that's it" Then I can say I wasn't disappointed at all.. Man I am a genius" :eek:lol:

Here is the link for anyone who may be in disbelief of that comment. Second paragraph up from "Time to step up" I know its hard to believe..

These coaches and players have faced an inordinate amount of adversity, at what point do they start overcoming it?

I think him saying he wasn't disappointed at all is coach speak. Trying to rally the troops a bit.

Hey coach, you have averaged less than 10 points in the 2nd half in 28 career games at UT!! Everyone is disappointed at your second half performances.

Step 1: Open hand, so that your palm faces up.
Step 2: Put face against palm.
Step 3: Audibly sigh.

Last year, CDD through a lot of players under the bus....I think that Hart had a heart to heart on this with him, and he will not be able to tell it like it is.

So....coach speak it is. He ain't too happy with the play in the second half....no one on this planet could be.

So what if he called out the coaches, himself, and the players? Isnt that the dreaded "thrown under bus" mentality everyone seems to loathe.

I have no doubt that if we win this game by one on Saturday, some fans are going apecrap that we should have won by 21.

"Simmer don na"
Oh lord, im getting old enough to quote an SNL skit from the 90s that noone has heard of...lol

I truly don't think Dooley was thinking about catching and spiking a Bray pass at halftime. The ball literally just landed where he was. Anyone standing where he was would've tried to catch that football.

At the top there is a thread tools drop it down and hit ignore thread if you do not like it. Just because you do not agree does not make it stupid.

Just don't respond to the people who say a thread is stupid with words that were quoted from our coach.. It makes them feel intelligent..

As far as someone saying our recruits read this stuff, your right they do read this stuff and hope they didn't read that article that has our coach saying dumb stuff... Would of been ok if it said "I wasn't disappionted in how we started the second half but need to play a full 60 minutes and finish a ballgame.

Yeah. I'm sure he's not disappointed in blowing the game on national tv.

I suppose you guys want him to be like a forum poster and sulk about it, and talk about it, for days without moving forward with the rest of the season. You can't sulk as a player or coach or you are toast. It's freaking wednesday. Game was saturday.

Recruits also watch the game, which is far more important than what any of us have to say.

This is another whiner thread!! You're going to interpret what was said exactly how you want to fit your tears and anger.
