We have not had anything but bad luck since he arrived here. Players getting hurt, some getting kicked off the team. And the biggest is he never never gets a break in a game. I'm telling you there is bad karma around this dude. What do you think?

No seriously he is snake bit bad. Like no other. He would be the type to pull a gun on someone and pull the trigger. The gun just clicks and later realize he forgot to put the bullets in.

Dooley's problems emanate from the fact that he isn't a good head coach.

Based on what? He's not going to win games with a horrible roster! He has only lost one game he shouldn't have at KY and he can't play for the players... Yes it is the same old bs when we lose like we did sat. but did u see Dooley on the sidelines smiling? I saw a guy who was thinking WTF else can I possibly do? He can light fires under his players butts but he can't keep them from having mental breakdowns! Dropped passes, missed coverages, etc have nothing to do with Dooley! The players where there they just have to make the plays!

I think we all agree he inherited a bad situation ,but this was his best chance to prove he could win in the SEC and he didn't get the job done. It only gets tougher from here on out in the SEC schedule and I just don't see anything better than a 7-5 record. I hope he surprises me.

He got a break twice in two overtime games against Vandy and UAB!

Funny you bring that up. I told my fiance that ever since I met her 2008 we have been god awful and anytime we watch a game together, we lose. While I call my dog my "good ju-ju" since we win when its just me and him..Im really starting to think my theory is holding true...she walked in right after halftime in the Florida game.

Dooley has to learn to manage what I call the quicksand effect! You can't let one bad play, lead to another, then to another! Dooley, Chaney, and Sal all have to get tog and settle guys down when a big play goes for 80 on us or we turn the ball over! We can't abandon who we are and we can't go to panic mode it the 3rd quarter! It's not all Dooleys fault! The whole coaching staff was to blame sat and so was the players!

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results = insanity. Obviously you now realize you need to make some changes on game day :)

Christ All Mighty

How many different ways can people start threads to debate Dooley's tenure so far. smh

I need a drink.

All I can say is this. I watched Bray's interview from today. That kid is not over last Saturday. I don't know if he's pissed at himself, at the coaches, or what, but he's not where he needs to be mentally. He's frustrated and doesn't know how to make the necessary changes to the teams attitude using his leadership skills (be they weak or strong)

Tyler, you have to believe in yourself and your team that you always have the ability to win, no matter how bad it seems:thumbsup:

Yea! You're right. Everything was going great until Dooley got here and tried to rescue out program!

You wanna tell that to the coaches at ULM??? I'm pretty sure they don't have half the talent we do yet they managed to beat 1 team we wouldn't with Dooley and dang near beat another we wouldn't with Dooley.
Heck even Vandy is more competitive with good teams than we have been with Dooley and even with "the mess" he walked into noone here would say Vandy had/has more talent than we do.

Fact is a good coach can coach his team to be play tough against good teams, a bad coach just makes excuses after getting beat handily by good teams. And with the exception of his first year he has never been competitive against good teams and that first year he was playing with players that had learned under good coaches and suffered the LSU and UNC losses because of the coaching of a bad coach.
