Dooley And Staff Doin Work.!!

Coach Dooley, Lance Thompson and Terry Joseph came in and made a full court press on Orta. According to his coach they are recruiting him to play corner. He was told by the UT coaching staff that they are trying to sign one more Safety after Orta (Byron Moore) Orta is very excited about being a Vol.

Wow that's great news. Orta is a player. Kind of surprised that he's being looked at as a CB because IMO he's a natural playmaker at safety.

Loften is a player and I would really love to add him to our team. I really think he'd be a playmaker for us and I'm hoping if certain things happen we can eventually take him. However, with the way it's looking on how we finish I too get the feeling that the staff has finally thrown their hands up and given up. Who knows though.

dooley has stated that he wants to get bigger at the corner and safety positions...6' corners instead of 5'8" corners and big safties 210-215 range

The obvious weakness seems to be stopping the run with this set-up but I guess that is why Dooley wants big safeties. Should be fun! I'm glad we got this guy especially since the staff seems to really like him

So if Orta plays at corner, do Randolph and Martin stay at safety? Their size might suggest otherwise.

Dontavis Sapp would fit Dooley's mold for safeties, but is Wilcox's ideal size for that position the same as Dooley's?

I'd think Meline would also fit Dooley's mold with another offseason in the weight room.

Very sensible post. When did we stop pursuing Turene and Dawson? And we must have told AJ and Christian that their services are no longer needed.
