Don't Tread on Me

Right on nbmfk, SamRebel35, TheVol, MDBJJC, BigHodgie, windstop, volstuff27641, Lexvol, AshvilleVol, AllVols, rjd970, Travis, HonoluluVol, ballou1024, BloodRUNZOrange, Orange_bleeder371, and kidbourbon. It's good to see I don't stand alone.

It's been fun reading the responses. Obviously, the majority of you guys think we have no shot whatsoever next year against the Gators... To each, his own... But still, it's kind of sad. I guess the lack of heart shown in the Florida game last year left a solid impression on some of you guys. Things are completely different this year, and maybe you all will buy into what our players, and some of us fans, are buying into.

Talent: Pretty much the same as last year, but new coaching staff, new motivation for players, and new recruits with the real opportunity to play early WILL bring out the talent more so than last year. We will easily field a better team this year than last.

Preparedness: Someone made the point that we will be better prepared than we were last year. I completely agree. No longer will we be the predictable team that gets exploited. We will be exploiting the other teams for a change. Teams won't know what to expect from this new staff. Advantage Vols.

Schedule: Favorable (as much as possible considering our conference) schedule with quite a few home games. Look at those toolbags in Gainesville, and how they schedule. No wonder you guys think they will repeat as NC's.

Being "realistic", which was a popular word in this thread...: Did anyone expect Ole Miss to have the season they did with their new coach last year? You can throw realistic out the window for next season, because what is a realistic view of next season remains to be seen.

And to the Vol fan who calls himself "Bear Bryant", no, I was not drunk when I started this thread. Were you drunk when you created your screen name? And, PtClaus98: reality is knowing that you really do have a retarded kid as your avatar. Congrats... :)

:good!: GO VOLS!!!

I want Tennessee to beat Fl just as bad as anyone but I just don't see it this year maybe next year but not this year . Also we can get pumped up all we want but the players are the ones that are going to be on the field and they are the ones that really need to be fired up to win and also Crompton scares the crap out of me, after last year Iam real nervous to watch him this year. I wish I was more optimistic but until I see how we play I just don't know .

There is always an outside chance we could beat these guys. We just have to play our best ball and get some breaks. Well see.

Yeah, if we were for sure going to get stomped, we wouldn't waste our money going down there. If we sell out and play how the coaches tell us too, then we can compete with them. If we compete with them you never know what could happen.
