Don't overlook the Vols... Possible "trap game"?

So we got blown out when LSU came to TBA. Their size and talent is overwhelming. They have one the best shot blockers in Jordan Mickey. And what do you know, they play at #18 Arkansas this Saturday.

All this leads up to a trap game.

I believe tonight, we aren't going to roll over this time. We competed better against Kentucky than we did against LSU. We also play much better on the road than at home. This is the same LSU team that lost to MI St @ LSU.

Tennessee is fighting for an NIT spot. Tonight Josh and Armani must show up and whoever else can give it their all. We need to not be scared of Mickey this time.

Though I'll be at work and will miss the game, I'll get the opportunity to see the recording at 10:30 tonight.

Sorry for rambling, but don't overlook this game, because I bet LSU is. I just have that "we're going to win tonight feeling". Lets hope Im right.

No question about it, a team always takes on the personality of their coach and Donnie will fight you like a pit bull. They have been working their tails off, so LSU better not be sleeping on the VOLS tonight.

Good call krager. I had a similar feeling, but our deficiencies have jaded me to the point that I wasn't buying it. I felt like LSU might beat themselves and make it a close game, but, the biggest difference I saw, was that I felt we actually beat LSU instead LSU beating themselves. We looked like we belonged on the same floor with them, and that is encouraging. Of course, we don't win this game without JRich, so that is something we will have to learn to do over the next 8 months, but everyone outside of Mostella and Carmichael played well tonight, and I can't tell you when that last happened.

Kudos to you on the call, and kudos to the team for making me feel silly for doubting them.
