Don't be upset if players we're pursuing are considering Vandy

There is absolutely no athletic reason to go there over Rocky Top.

My point was that they are good at finding talent. We are looking at quite a few kids recently who only have offers from the likes of Vandy and other small schools but our coaches see what theirs do.

Whenever I see that Vandy has offered, I figure we've got no shot. Just look at Derek King last year. I thought he liked us and was even thinking about committing, but we just couldn't compete against that Vandy offer. He was theirs to lose the whole time.

It's because the recruits are afraid of getting jumped by your popped collared frat buddies, so they consider vandy.

Vanderbilt did Maryland a flavor by taking Franklin. Franklin was their coach in waiting. As soon as VU hired him, UM fired the Fat guy. When Franklin left UM was happy. Thanks Vandy!

That's cool and all but it's not just offers, it's what the school that's offering HAS to offer the recruit and we have a hell of a lot more than Vanderbilt.

Vandy's staff can recruit, if you disagree just wait and see who they offer before we do.

Because it's real hard to piggyback on other school's legwork. They can offer anyone they want, doesn't mean they'll get any of them.

Color me unimpressed with Franklin and his staff.
