Don't be suprised

CBS's Danielson said Saturday that in a conversation with Saban, Nick said he'd spent a lot of time on these 'wild' formations, and that what he thinks most people miss with them is the notion that there is one defense a team should run against it.

Saban thinks D's should be more multiple in their approach to the 'wild'. Whether he's right or not might be a good discussion... but my point is, don't look for his team to be fooled by these shenanigans...

With a player like Berry running the ball, it may not matter if the D isn't fooled.

you have a guy as dynamic as Berry........the thing i couldn't get out of my head watching him Saturday night was "he's Carl Pickens part deux".

Get him the ball.

I really don't get everyone worrying about Berry getting hurt. I could name lots of players who have played defense that returned punts. I've seen him on the punt team anyway so they might as well put the ball in his hands.

:good!:

Ok... But if that is the reasoning, why is Rogan handling return duties? Doesn't he have a similar number of snaps? I don't doubt your football knowledge and knowledge of this team greatly eclipses my own, but I am clearly missing something here.

You'd have to ask Fulmer.
