While all of this other stuff is going on, the current coaching staff has been out recruiting. This has been a blindside to us, because of the current situation. I’m glad they’re out there trying to get recruits to Tennessee. My thing is, is that where do they all stand?

People are telling me that Butch Jones held him down.

They are currently on the UT payroll and I would hope they are doing their job to the best of their ability. My guess is that some of them are hoping to either be retained or help their resume for another job. In either case, staying the course and trying to recruit for Tennessee as long as you are here can only help your cause.

Shoop was not the problem. Somebody explain to me how you go from so good to so bad in such short order. Did he forget how to coach? No. Jones held everybody back. It's evident now. But we need to hang on to Gillespie. The guy might be a FL alum but he has been extremely loyal to TN. And he's a great recruiter and coach.

He was great at Vandy and Penn State. Why was he so successful at those schools and a disappointment at Tennessee? IMHO, I think the problem at Tennessee is that others decided who his coaches were. I am afraid our new head coach will also he told who to hire which is a recipe for failure.

This is true. Expect a major overhaul among the staff.

I think Shoop deserves a chance under another coach. We all know Butch thought he knew everything and had to control everything. I say give him full control of defense and lets see what happens. I think we will be surprised but thats JMO

People will tell us anything. Shoop was a disaster.

Why does Shoop get a pass? What evidence is there that we have improved under his leadership? We have regressed and statistics would support that regression.
