Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

Okay I'm gonna share a learning experience I had recently with my dog and I hope this helps someone. My dog is a 10 year old Beagle, on the thicker side but we take his weight seriously and aren't the aww he's so fat and cute type dog parents. We understand he needs to not be overweight. Anyway, he was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia at 4 years old. We have never seen him have any issues with his hips. He runs, jumps, plays in the yard every day etc. At the time he was diagnosed we did put him on a joint supplement (Synovi) and he's been fine on that his whole life. Well Synovi decided they were gonna reduce the size of their chews by about half, meaning my dog would now need 2 a day instead of 1, essentially doubling the not cheap price. So we decided to switch him.

The vet recommended Dasuquin, so that's what we got. However, there are 2 types of it, with MSM and without. We were told by the vet if he isn't showing signs of pain he probably doesn't need MSM. So we got the regular kind.

Within a week of being off of his Synovi (which did have MSM) he was showing signs of pain, and it got worse, quickly. It was heartbreaking. He had a ton of trouble walking on soft surfaces (couch, bed) didn't want to go outside, couldn't jump on the couch, had trouble standing up, wouldn't follow me when I went to another room, literally just wanted to lay around. It took us a few days but my wife and I eventually realized it had to be the MSM, or at least we really hoped.

So we got the Dasuquin with MSM and we are not even 3 weeks in on it and he's already back to running and jumping and being his normal self. So I'm passing on this lesson I learned the hard way maybe it'll help some poor pup that's struggling. If your dog is having joint issues PLEASE try something with MSM. I'm usually a skeptic and wonder if all these fancy words actually even do anything, but this one DEFINITELY does. It's a miracle drug as far as I'm concerned.

(Methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural sulfur compound commonly used in dogs to reduce joint inflammation, manage arthritis pain, and improve mobility. It supports collagen production for healthy cartilage and connective tissues

In Meadow’s mind: Go ahead, stare at the flashing, babbling thing. When you fall asleep, I’m going to bite off and eat your gibbley bits. Yeah, I’m so sweet, but I’m a korgi, and we’re bred to get after varmits, and your package looks varmity to me.

Lol that is so true haha... Come late at night, she is full of herself and loves to keep you awake by biting feet and legs. That's why she sleeps all day. It's very painful and typical of a corgi for sure..
