Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

Here is a PSA. Avoid these chew toys. They came apart in chuncks and will lodge in your pets' gut. It was a $2700 lesson we learned with our dachshund.

Edit: forgot the pic!

For a Dachshund, I'd be surprised they can even do it. We've had zero issues with these (multiple sets, x3 currently). Only our biggest dog can even "break" them.

Oh, they were going through a set within a month or so.
What's odd, is that it's always been the orange one for us. I don't know what it is, but that's the one they focus on for chewing lol.

I will agree that they don't last long, and we're realistically done with them unless on sale (really the only reason for the 3rd set).

My 9 yr old German Shephard, CAIN, passed away last night. Started acting lethargic and we thought he had ate some of the white cap mushrooms and we took him to the emergency vet last night and they told us he had a lot of fluid around his heart (there was a medical name to it but I can't remember or spell it) keeping it from pumping correctly/fully. The plan was to drain it and take blood samples to see if they could determine the issue. Vet said that 70% of the time it is a tumor in the area. Before they could even draw the blood or drain the fluid, his heart stopped. I told the Vet to not resuscitate bc it wasn't guaranteed to not come back and affect him and cause him more pain and be in the same situation again. Wife and daughters having a difficult time with it. We rescued him when he was 6 months old. He was a big lovable oaf that sorta reminded you of Marmaduke. We will miss him.
RIP Cain. Sorry for your loss

Same thing for ours. The orange one always went first.

We had one chunk removed surgically and she passed another chunk recently. They will come apart in chunks.
