Does Nick Stephens realize...(merged)

Getting on the field will be the hardest part! I am not convinced that he will see playing time:flush:

I think attendance this week may be somewhat decent just because people are curious about Stephens. If he doesn't see significant playing time, Neyland will be a graveyard the rest of the year.

Going out on a limb here and saying he is a long way away from being a legend because Fulmer is still there and this kid will not get the start or snaps after this week...Mark it down...Fulmer will start Crompton this week and he will do well enough no matter what Stephens does to get the start the next week...This was all just something Fulmer did to get Crompton to play better knowing he has to fight for the job...Sad but true and just another reason that Fulmer has lost it!

Hit the nail on the head here. That is exactly what will happen. I doubt we will see Stephens untill midway through the 3rd quarter at the earliest in mop up duty. Then the PR will start about JC had the hot hand was playing well, building for the SEC run and all that BS. Then we go to GA and JC will stink up the place again and CPF will have to be gone. So mabey not such a bad move after all starting JC.

I think Crompton will start but Stevens will play in the first half, a lot. I think Clawson will get his way now and Stevens will have to step up and take the lead.

Poor ol' Clawson!

His situation makes me think of Parcells' quote that, "If they want you to cook the meal, at least they should let you shop for the groceries".
