I, like many of you, have all the confidence in the world in CLK. I find it funny how he rags CUM all the time. I also remember him making some very very sarcastic remarks after the vandy game about the refs that were aimed straight at Mr.Slimeball. I support CLK 100%,but like the ole sayin goes...don't bite the hand that feeds you. Slive may not feed CLK but he is the head of the SEC. So what i'm askin is...do you think it would be wise for CLK to ease off some of his antics just a bit, because it's hard to imagine that without all of his shinategans(that i find funny) they would be making this big of a deal out of all of this. They are going around and interviewing most of our current recruits trying to dig up anything that they can find!! It just seems like we have really ticked off the wrong people. So should he maybe ease off the attitude a bit?????

No, but he should make sure he is careful not to do anything that could get him in serious trouble.

Absolutely not.

Kiffin is a smartass. What he says and does isn't contrived, it is who he is.

I think it's nice to see someone speak his mind.

i agree with the other posters. he is who he is and i like it. he's just got to run a clean operation because the NCAA db's are watching us like hawks. Slive doesn't help either.

in a word: no.

also, there was a recent invention, referred to as an enter key on the keyboard: try it.

what he does works if you want proof go to rivals.com and check out our #5 recruiting class despite our 7-5 record.

No way, he would lose his identity then. It would be boring without all the ribbing and things. Say what you want about it, but it has helped him. You say Lane Kiffin and everyone knows who that is. There are tons of other coaches out there that most people couldn't pick out of a lineup.

I personally think it's because he's just so "high profile'. It's not all about the jabs and sarcasm. By hiring Coach Kiffin we moved from (all due respect) "good ol' boy" CPF. to a higher new-age level. Gone are the days of looking the other way and "we'll let that one slide" just don't "Dadgum" too loud the next bad call you get. We're in the spotlight now guys because we've got a coach that speaks his mind, doesn't care who he pisses off and is intent on beating everyones brains out that line down across the line of scrimmage from our beloved VOLS. So in retrospect, we might as well pull our waders on and get ready for the long haul, cause the sh** will get deeper and we're just gonna have to man up and keep our noses a little cleaner than most because they'll be looking @ everything we do. Reason being, this is the new era of Big Orange Football. and we're poised to get back in that Championship groove for many years to come. I say bring 'em on and GO VOLS.......................

Congrats to Douglas and Lathers for being the only Tenn players on the all freshman team. It is certainly great to see a staff bring in great players and let them play........wait a minute, they are both redshirt freshman and where recruited by Phil. Where in the you know where are all of the great freshman that Jane put out there?????

awww, someone misses Fulmer. :cray:

On topic, nope, he doesn't need to back off, as long as it's within the rules.
