Was on Basilio talking about how he has always heard rumors of off the field problems, and then he even questioned his dedication. Does he read message boards or something?

Wasn't he also questioning Dooley earlier this season fit playing Worley over Simms. Maybe he's just a Bray hater because he took Matt's job

He's just mad that Tyler got the "BRAY" tattoo on his back first. Jerry doesn't want to look like a copy-cat.

Did he say the same thing about all of britton's off the field problems?

Edited because I originally agreed with you, but I had a brain fart. As pointed out, Jerry Colquitt was the UT QB that ended his career on the first drive of the UCLA game in 1994.

What to do about QB's:
If Bray gets his act together off the field and becomes fully dedicated, will Coach Dooley have the discipline to sit Worley ALL OF NEXT YEAR? The answer to that question is don’t count on it as this undermanned team goes through the SEC gauntlet. Say Tyler Bray gives us everything as a field general and has no discipline problems, then how does Worley feel about watching Bray for 2012 and 2013? And how does this affect any recruiting of QBs to date? Is signing one QB enough for the upcoming class? The Vols would be smart to invest in signing two QBs as insurance to the QB controversy that is sure to happen in the spring of 2012.

So there are off the field issues with Bray?

Sounds like he's just trying to start something. I'm thinking this is just a reaction of Tyler's comments saturday about taken one of Vandy's players knees out. But anyway, I don't understand why Tony lets him blog on his site. A QB controversy would be the absolute worse thing for the vols next year. Brays the guy and Dooley knows that. I'm sure Bray likes to party a little bit but who cares, as long as he's not getting arrested or whatever, let him have some fun. He seems to care about the team and wanting to win, so I don't think there is nothing to worry about with his commitment.

Go Vols!!!

Ok, I am going to get blasted for this, but I am a little worried about keeping Tyler eligible for next year. Anyone else feel that way? With him in there, we can be really, really good. But as so many before him, there is a persistent rumor about the pot use.

I am all for the partying a little bit....to me, that is part of the college experience. I just hope we can keep him from flunking drug tests. That is my only concern.

Not sure I understand the "discipline" angle? He used Worley because he felt like it was necessary. If Bray performs on the field and remains uninjured, there will be no need to use Worley except for mop up.

I think people say that because of his personality. If they were worried about him next year, wouldn't you sit him the rest of the year and keep Worley as you starter just in case Worley has to be guy next year.

Worley will have to make a big jump over the next 9 months for there to be a QB controversy on our hands. Not saying he won't since he'll be getting 1st and 2nd team snaps through spring and fall workouts. I think it's pretty clear already that as long as Bray is healthy he's our starting QB.

Well that has been a rumor for 2 years now. I would think he would have been kicked off the team by now if he's failed several drug test.

I just think some people are going to be out to get him because of who he is and his success. So he will have to be smart in how is portrays himself even if he is not doing anything illegal.

No, you do everything you can to win the very next game. He gives us the best chance to beat Kentucky. So he is out there on the field.

I hope it is just his personality. In the fall of 2014, I want to see him playing on Sundays.

Jerry trying to stir things up. He still has a belly full of anger from his senior year. Sad to carry that around with you and not be able to move on.

Im not sure what hte controversy is - Bray is much better than Worley so he will start - Worley will likely get to play his senior year - if he is any good then he wouldnt stay any longer than that anyway so who cares about a redshirt?

if he stays till his rs senior year that probably means he is not that good - we have a 4 star guy coming in this year and likely will have another highly rated qb coming in the next year so i really don't see why this is an issue

So a guy that has never been suspended for pot is all of a sudden miraculous going to get kicked off. I wish Dooley covered up Janzen as well as he supposedly is doing for Bray.
