Does Hurd break rushing record this year?

With Jalen being out tomorrow and only amassing just over 400 yards so far, does he break the all time UT rushing record this year? Needs about 485 yards.

What say you VN?

I think the math says he will. The back half of our schedule is not very strong.

come on man...who knows...he may play tomorrow...if he doesn't play...just hope it's more a concern about his health than his attitude...:)

Appreciate all he's done, but I don't really care that much for individual records. Hope he comes back and lights it up, but the only thing that really matters to me is the W-L of this team. Win the SECE and I couldn't give two squirts about a rushing record. Lose the SECE and I couldn't give 2 squirts about a rushing record.

Not discounting anything you said. But I made a thread posing a question for discussion. A simple yes/no would have sufficed

Quite relaxed actually.

I believe he breaks the record too. I just don't appreciate posing a question in a thread and getting lectured about how I should be worried about wins/losses instead of our players performing well

Yes. He will get at least 150 against Tennessee Tech and Kensucky. Possibly could get 100 against Missouri. Also we will be playing at least 2 postseason games this year so those are additional games that count for stats.

Don't think he'll play tomorrow since the team is in College Station, Texas and he's still in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Btw, I think he gets the record vs either Missouri or Vanderbilt.

I originally thought he'd win the record during the USCe game. Missing half of UGa and all of A&M gonna push that back a couple of games. But yep, Jalen's gonna own that record, barring any complications or new injuries.

I'm more concerned that he will come back healthy and continue to be the Rock of this offense and contribute than I am about a record at this point.
