that if we win out...go to a crappy bowl against a crappy team...and then win that game...not only will Fulmer not get fired but according to his new contract he will get an automatic raise(8 win clause)...:eek:hmy:

Thoughts?

8 wins is a regular season requirement. Not really a way it can happen this year

Check out his (even Johnnie's) fantastic win-loss record over the years for Nov games....it can happen this year as well. And it will be called the Nov Miracle....(SC, KY, WY, Vandy, + the Chump Bowl Win= 8). I expect this may well happen.

Have you seen our offense recently? Unless we score on D, we don't win.

On the flip side. Do you realize that there is another team out there saying if we win out we might get to go to a crappy bowl and play crappy Tennessee this year?

Here's the thing...we WONT win out and we're looking at 4-8 or 5-7...that's the harsh reality...crappy play = crappy results.

South Carolina is the only iffy game we have left. Fortunately for us, Vandy and Kentucky have decided to quit playing this year. Wyoming is a joke.

6 and 6.

We played like crap against NIU and UAB and UCLA and Auburn beat us. I personally can not overlook anyone on our schedule anymore. If KY almost beat us last year....we're going to have to quit being idiots to win the rest of these games.

I can assure you with Spurrier having 2 weeks to prepare for us..and them being at home and our boys not giving a crap anymore, you can bank on a big L in Columbia come Saturday.

I have to agree with this.... the ACC could have more bowl eligible teams than the SEC this year. SC may beat us, but I think we can stop them from scoring.... and kick a couple of field goals and win it. Same deal with Vandy. KY has too many injuries, so we should handle them like we should handle Wyoming.... key word, should... glad my wife hid the bullets to my 45 after the Florida game! This is depressing

Oh...I thought it was 8 total...

Well...I feel a little better...although I think if he wins out he won't get fired...

But at least he won't get an automatic raise for leading us to mediocrity

Even if we win out it won't matter. Fulmer's contract extension comes for an 8-4 or better regular season. 8-5 including a bowl win won't get Fulmer extended. In that event, the only thing getting extended is Phil's waistline.
