I don't live in Tennessee anymore, but I follow as close as I can here and on twitter. I am FB friends with countless people who are UT fans and live all over the place.

I have not seen ANYONE, either in the media or personally, step up to defend Currie and the UTAD. Not one. I understand the the whole mob mentality, but it sure seems like the rejection of his leadership is almost unanimous.

Is the UT admin actually that tone deaf to what's going on, or are the truly so bound to Haslam and his support that they will steer this thing right over the cliff at his command?

I mean come on. Can they not see where this is headed?

He'll have a ton of support once the hire is announced.

He has none. He also has no power as AD at this point. His days are numbered.

Currie is dead man walking. His entire tenure is now defined by this, his first major hire. He’s toxic.

He’s about to announce a coach that’s 33-30 and 15-25 in the ACC.....if it’s possible to have less than ZERO support, that’s what he’ll have after he introduces Doeren.

Regardless, he is done as AD. If he doesn't get fired, he will resign and move out of Knoxville, as most people in Knoxville will give him hell after this. Guy won't even be able to eat at Calhoun's without someone spitting in his spinach maria.

no, and neither does haslam, and neither does davenport. the more people start to realize that this isn't solely a currie issue, the better. it's not just one guy. it's a collection of morons.

Currie is just a puppet. Can't make these decisions on his own. Between Haslam, Davenport and even Peyton having to sign off on candidates Currie is just the front man. UT should just make Haslam AD and end the charade.

How could he possibly have any support? This is the most bungled, flawed, inept coaching search/hiring process in the course of human history. Anyone associated with it should be not only be immediately disqualified from the search moving forward, but be terminated from employment and run out of the state on a rail.

They have caused an entire lifetime's worth of embarrassment for the university in a matter of 18 days. The BOT needs to step in and put a stop to the madness and ineptitude. Currie is a fraud and a puppet. Davenport is totally out of touch with what is required for a championship program. If we cannot put leadership in place that is dedicated to winning, then we may as well cancel the program and save ourselves further embarrassment, because right now, we're a punchline.

The fans has made this program the 2nd richest in America. The fans live off of hope of getting back to the glory days. The Administration uses that hope and love of the fans to make money. Yo them its MONEY OVER WINS!

Really? The BOT? Been incompetent for years, why change now? Haslams run BOT, UT, etc. Money rules and they plan on ruling. Get back in your place, peon!
