Just wondering if Hart is cleaning house on the defensive side of the ball... Seems odd that he made the comment that he didn't reward average (when the contract extensions came up) and now most of those coaches are gone that didn't get one (expept Wilcox)...

May just be me, but it seems odd the way it has all played out.....

Also was Hart the assistant AD when CLT had it out with Bama and came to Tennessee....

I honestly do not think he is trying to run of CDD, but I tend to think he has made it perfectly clear that last year is unacceptable....

I also wonder if he would (possibly) be cleaning house on he offensive side of the ball too if Bray & Hunter hadn't have gotten hurt and we still had the same record..

I will say though Hart is totally different that Hamilton was when it come to rewarding average for sure....

Not saying this is the case (before I get flamed) Just wondering out loud....:hi:

I think this is the 3rd time I've read "this" thread

Sorry I didn't realized someone had posted it that way... I had read where a lot of people though he was setting up for a new head coach...

That isn't what I meant.. I meant strictly on the Defensive side of the ball...

I think the Kiff's crew is definitely getting the broom. Dooley with Hart's support are rebuilding with their choices. Question is if Chaney is next?

I tend to think the only thing that saved Chaney was the fact that 2 of his stars got hurt.... but I could be wrong...

I think there were some cancers in the locker room and they weren't all wearing pads. I think Dooley and Hart are trying to put together a staff that will be unified in their efforts to win.

If Chaney does go, Dooley needs to make a "Gus Malzahn hire" in the sense that someone can come in and get the offense going right away from game 1. Obviously he needs to hire another pro style Coordinator for sure.

For whatever reason, it appeared that Chaney and Dooley got along. I guess we will see soon, though, if that wasn't the case.

Auburn's "hire" was Newton. Malzahn got lucky.

You may be right. I was just throwing it out there. The lack of running game should lie on the OC not HH although he had to go too IMO.

Hadn't thought of it that way but it is a possibilty that Hart wants to upgrade the whole staff minus Dooley. More clueless head coaches worse than Dooley have had success with a good staff and talent level around them, ask Lou Holtz.

Just ask Hyams he is the expert on who the cancers are. He knows all.

hello, Les Miles?

Also, Dooley has quite a few years left on his contract and the buyout would be pretty steep even if Hart wanted to get rid of him. And we're still paying Fulmer for a little while longer. I don't think Hart will be making a move on Dooley unless we have a really horrific season in 2012.

I tend to think those coaches were not given reviews they liked or offered extensions they were ready to accept.

I find it hard to believe other schools really pursued our coaches with our loosing record. Some of them were surely told to hit the road. What if we had won this year. CDD would be coaching the Packers.

Its pretty obvious that every staff hire since Hart has been on board has been an upgrade. Thats impressive and hints at Hart's ability to cooperate with Dooley and give him the best possibilities to succeed. It all started with Graham.
