I agree and he seems to spin the ball better, with more accuracy and velocity. He actually looks like a spread read option QB! Definitely a throw first guy but looks like he is a 4.6 guy, which we need a fast QB running the read option effectively.
Peterman is probably next up if he is healthy enough.
I'm excited to see Dobbs play a full game, win or lose. I loved his poise. Something about Worley kinda made me feel like he never really had much confidence in himself, and it kind of infected the rest of the offense. He seemed to play tight and scared most of the time, and that is where so much of the inconsistency was coming from. Dobbs did not look like a freshman taking his first snaps,he looked like he had been there and was in total control, which I found very impressive. Judging from the one deep pass he threw he has enormous arm strength for an 18 year old kid,and his release is as fast as any I have seen. Here's to a Bray vs Memphis like coming out party for Dobbs vs Mizzou.......Go Vols!!
Our OL is way better than a lot of teams on PAPER, unfortunately games aren't won on paper.
There is an old cliche though that applies here... Be careful what you wish for... you just might get it.
I really like Dobbs' skill set. I like smart guys ALOT. I am very excited to see him in action....
BUT the realist in me demands that I am prepared for the worst too. What if the "change" some of you have been clamouring for doesn't go as you hoped? What if things get real bad, real quick?
Worley did more good things than many of you would ever admit. It is my sincere hope that Dobbs takes a stranglehold on the job and never lets it go... but there is a significant chance that he won't and this will turn into a big mess.
And for some of you.... will you turn on Dobbs as your new scape goat?
I really, really wish I didn't have to question whether the fans here would support the players. Unfortunately, that's not uniformly the case.
