I tried explaining this before the Bristol game. They held onto the Dobbs story until he had a big game the week before. They knew it was going to happen sometime this year. 400 yards and 5 TDs against UF gets your story on Gameday.

Greg Burke missed a FG Vs Barn in the 80s.
As he left the field an ESPN cameraman was in his face. Another player threw a water bottle at the cameraman and hit Burke instead. ESPN kept showing the miss and then Burke getting hit with the bottle on sports center. Johnny Majors then banned ESPN cameramen from our sidelines on games they were covering.
There has been other things along the way but that's where it started.
