How many of you watch the show "Sports Source" at 11 am out of Knoxville? The show with John Pennington as the host. I find myself watching every Sunday. Just wondering who the panel of experts are. Are they sports talk radio hosts? Columnists? What's the deal?

I wouldn't call any of them experts...

I was unaware that John Pennington, Bob Hodge and Jimmy Hyams were known as experts. I think hacks are a better description of them then experts.

John Pennington is "Mr. SEC". What's wrong with you?

I usually tune in on Sundays, although I'm not exactly sure why. Just the production quality and format and personalities of the show are cringe-inducing.

The only time I've seen it the whole hour was devoted to discussing over/under on points, wins, and every category you could think of. It was HORRENDOUS.

I've always liked Bobby Scott's commentary. Dude knows his ****. And Hyams is on a different level than even most ESPN commentators.

Hyams is a realist. I like that. He just shoots it off the way he thinks even though it's not what we really want to hear.

It would not surprise me if more non UT fans watch that show then actual Vols fans. It is a joke of a production that could only be used for amusement by LSU or UK fans or the like.

I watch it just because their is nothing else for me to watch on Sunday mornings, i tend to disagree with alot of what those guys say.

He's a fraud. Just this week, Hyams was quoted as saying that David Oku would be a 4th stringer and have little impact on the field this season.

I generally don't like to call anybody's opinion fraudulent. It's an opinion. I'm also not prone to call anybody out on something that hasn't been tested yet. (notable exception being Holtz's spectacularly irrational chubby for the Irish every year) For instance, I'd guess most everyone at this point has Hardesty and Brown at 1 & 2 so Oku's at best third string barring injury. Poole might not be so easy to unseat at the 3 either.

OTOH if we are going to talk about more than just carries at RB I'd like to think Oku can contribute in other ways but assuming Hardesty stays healthy (an admittedly big if) just where are Oku's carries at RB going to be coming from?

I actually like the show's simplicity. It's like listening to a radio show for an hour, minus the callers.
