Agreed not his call, but I trust that he knows who is out there, and it might be within his duties to supply a list of candidates that he's researched as food for thought. You know, some guys that aren't obvious UT guys.

MH has no football knowledge to speak of so how would his "research" be credible?

I just have this impression of MH, that he's looking under every stone for a coach(for every sport), infact, I'm sure he's been compiling a list of HC's since day 1. He knew who was out there when he fired his pal Buzz. He just seems like that kind of guy to me, and a guy that can do it in a non-confrontational way. I could be totally wrong, it's just the impression I get from him.

Right, I agree he's not picking the pitching coach, it just seems like MH might be a good resource for CF IF he's looking outside the obvious choices of Kippy, Marrone, Adkins, Taylor. I would agree that's a big IF.
