Last night I spotted Wood-Anderson and multiple other players at bars on cumberland like they didn’t lose to a school that didn’t even have a football team 10 years ago.

If I was Pruitt the whole team would’ve brought their sleeping bags and slept on the 50 yard line and think about how they can grow from this.

If the head coach and the coaching staff are indifferent or just not giving a damn it's bound to rub off on the football team.

Pruitt's recruits probably do for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a few seniors or juniors just going through the motions if they don't start.

Game 1 I doubt player apathy has set in yet.

If you'll notice, the fans will be chewing their nails off in the crunch time of games. The 19-22 year old students actually out there playing are just doing their thing. They've played dozens and dozens of games since age 5. This one is another one. When it's over, college students will be happy or sad based on the results. But, after a shower and street clothes life goes on.

These guys are scoping co-eds, or working on that math quiz due in the morning, or chilling on the couch this afternoon enjoying a rest day. Tomorrow they know it's another grind at practice. The fans are shell-shocked and will be for a decade over yesterday's game.

The fact that Pruitt acted like there wasn't an effort problem was extremely suspicious to me.

First of all that means he thinks we are all too stupid to see how absurd that is.

But second, why lie about it? Never had a problem calling the players out last year.

They're still college kids. They also don't take losses as hard as fans. Always been the case

The more posts I see since yesterday. The more I'm starting to believe this was one of those mystical "must win" games.

If the players care, they certainaly don't show it on the football field, do they reflect the attitude of their coach?

Well I was depressed and drank last night. I can’t fault the players for doing the same. What disappoints me is the effort on the field.

JG said he was too ashamed to leave the stadium. Yes they care
