Honestly guys, if Dooley gets fired to most everyone here's best wishes; WHO WILL WE HIRE? Dooley knew what he was getting into and he's man enough to deal with this crap, even from you all.

Listen to me: No top-dollar coach like Chip Kelly is going to come to a program in the toughest conference in the nation in the middle of an awful rebuilding stage. Nobody. Some want the "easy road" and go to a place where they'll easily win 11 games a year and a conference title. Others simply want to go to their home roots, which there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Dooley is 200 miles away from Athens, GA but yet he is STILL here in this mess and willingly trying to beat the hell out of his own dad's school. That takes guts. That is the "alpha-male" type personality that only SEC coaches these days have to have. That is truly something special. THAT is a Volunteer.

Even though most of you now have lost faith, I haven't. and as a fellow Vol, I beg of you not to push for Dooley's departure, it would be the worst move yet to happen to our program.

Always fun to get on here and see people freaking out. I just looked outside and saw that the sky was still where God put it.

No it wouldn't be the worst, that would be the lane kiffin hire. As bad as I hate to say it would things be in this shape had Phil been retained?

You might want to wash up if you have "man on your hands" or at least wear gloves next time.

Tell me one thing that matters in successful programs that he has done that is as good or better than the top 5 coaches/programs in the SEC and I will agree with you. UT historically is a Top 5 SEC program, right?

Hired better coaches? Nope
Ran top offensive and defensive schemes? Nope
Recruited better? Nope
Play called better? Nope
Game planned better? Nope
Managed games better? Nope (OTFLMAO)
Handled the press corps better? Nope
Handled donor/fan relations better? Nope

I'm on the fence, although I think the best option is one more year.

If he goes, I get it.

If he stays, I get it.

We'll be in a better situation to hire in December 2012 than January 2012.

Dooley will win just wait he lost all his best players for the year. Take all of Stanford's Best players off there team and the win 5 games. Face it you cant win without your best players.

No, Dooley was man enough to come in when everyone who most thought was a better person for the position TURNED US DOWN! Look, he's not gonna make every politically correct decision, but he took on this task and embraced it. I wish I could be on his staff because he's all VOL. Us against the world and those who pretend to love us, but don't. He's brought in 2 straight top 15 classes and has us who understand the rebuilding process looking forward to the future. Kiffin knew what was coming and bolted. Dooley saw it, came in, and is now weathering the storm. I salute the man just for doing so when no one else wanted too. As a UT fan, it's time to stand by the guy who came into this situation going into the worse time (even though many of you thought it was the UK loss) and is trying desperately to lead us out of it. We owe him!

any coach would be better than dooley.as much as you want it to work man its not gonna happen. The better coaches of his staff have left, and any coaches out there with a brain won't come and coach with a guy who can't get along with anyone and who is in the hot seat. the players do not want to play for this guy. it not gonna work so the quicker we can move on the better things will get! i think they should look into Mike Singletary. that would be a great hire. college kids would play for that guy!
