Better take 5. No one wants to relive the past two seasons with all the youth and lack of strength up front. In a perfect world, every OL would redshirt their first year on campus, with the exception of a Tiny like talent. I remember when 247 reported that Marcus Jackson stepped on campus as an EE and was the strongest OL on campus at that point. (I am sure that changed when Tiny showed up however)

I get not wanting to experience the past but if you look at the #s every FR we take in 2013 would be able to RS and work on strength and likely the same would be said for those we take in 2014 although i get that by that point a lot could change

How can we sign that many with the new oversigning rules? We only have 19-20 spots available if no juniors leave or transfers occur.

Do believe we need a true FB or a good H Back type TE in this class would be happy to see one each. As for a blocking TE could always just use a reserve lineman. I thought by rule the SEC did away with oversigning have a solid 25 signing limit.

Over 25 signees? How do you plan on getting around the SEC cap?

I am under the impression that if the previous year you take less then the 25 max, you can take those spots the following year as long as they are EE's. I believe we took 22 last year, so hopefully we can take 28 with at least 3 being EE's.

I believe that's right with 28 being the hard max cap.

We've signed 5 in the last 2 years, if we sign 3 this year that will be 8 in the last 3 years.

Since colleges target app 3 per year average, we are fine.

I don't want to see us get back into the same depth predicament we were in the past 2 years, with an extremely young and inexperienced OL due to poor signing classes from 2007-09.

When you figure in normal attrition, injuries, and missed talent evaluations, it would be a mistake to get only 3 OL signees next February, IMO.

OL signees over the past 6 years...

Jawuan James has 3 and done potential. Same with Tiny. Certainly need 5 OL this year for SEC ball. I don't see Bamas UF's or USCe DL coming back to reality anytime soon.

This class has 6 LBs, 6 DL, and 5 DBs.

Will take only 1 RB because one of the big guys will jump at UT selling him on being the only guy.

Will take only 1 QB.

Will take 3 WRs

Will take 3 OL

Will take 1 TE

I think we sign over 25 this year, and we see a lot of players being asked to explore their options elsewhere if the numbers become a crunch.

Qe will take more than 3 WRs, more than 1 RB, more than 3 ol and possibly more than 1 TE.
