there's also no denying the endless crap that Rasputin/TVA has provided us over the past year. It's evident by the vast majority of the board that has called him out on it.

Dave is a brilliant musician. Those who appreciate and understand great music will look past the "mainstream" knock that he's been given in recent years. It sucks that great bands who have great starts catch crap for becoming popular.

Seeing DMB in the early years was a blessing I'll never forget, and his influence on my own musical style is undeniable.

i dunno how early you go back on Dave, but i remember his shows on the lawn a WFP.

i think my last Dave show was bonnaroo several years back.

Ras posts some crazy things, there's no denying it, I've told him that myself. Just saying it seems you're always calling out someone. I just get tired of all the name calling on here... sometimes I just have to avoid posting in the thread. DMB isn't my thing, but I would never call it pothead music. Ras calls for death to people who post things he doesn't like, so consider the source.

Ras = crazy Ron Paul supporter. Just kidding Ras. I think people need to lighten up sometimes. It's a board about UT sports for crying out loud. Anyways that's just me. I hear so much squabbling at work I just want to come here and not take things so serious. That's life though... continue the DMB debate.

Well, then, by all means. . . .if a hack sports talk fill-in said that, then Dave must be devil music.

Since you (apparently) object to any music that attracts people who are "pot smokers," what do you listen to? And, have you been to many concerts or festivals?

I'm just adding this. I've seen Dave twice and i don't think the cumulative total of pot I smelled in the air equaled the Pearl Jam show I attended or most of the classic rock acts I've seen live.

A No Doubt/Weezer concert I went to at World's Fair Park had the most weed I've ever seen in one place, short of a Grateful Dead concert.
