Discuss the UGA-Bama Game & What it Means for Us

Had this one on mute while listening to the Vol game on radio.

Bama came back in the 4th (AGAIN), but lost on UGA's first play of OT, 23-26

Anybody follow it enough to say some useful things for us down the road about either team?

Means we have a better chance to get our game in two weeks on TV and, as crazy guy said, get out of ppv hell...

What worries me is that 2 weeks in a row Bama looked whipped, and still bull-headed their way back in the 4th quarter.

I don't know if we've got that kind of heart, particularly on defense.


UGA isn't consistent or very deadly on offense (at least today), but they seem to have a knack for pulling a big play out of their Richtum just when they need it, and their best WR is on our weakest side....

It can't mean nothing for us... unless you're saying that everybody on our schedule is either alot better or alot worse than us....

We can score buckets of points on both. But unless we get a defense transfusion they can score barrels of points on us. Mark Richt is a cool customer.

What I learned from that game is that Matt Stafford still sucks and JPW isn't a good QB until the 4th quarter. Also, bama's receivers make JPW look better than he really is, IMO. Both teams have really good running games and both teams are overrated. That is what I learned from watching the game. Anyone else hear the announcer asking about Britney Spears in the game?

It means a little heat is off of CMR...thought he is still 0-5 in his last games against SEC East opponents. It means the heat will return with a loss to TN.

It is hard to tell how good either team is. GA beat AL that came off a win against Ark...but how good is Ark given their performance against KY. Outside of FL and LSU I think we have more questions than answers

I cannot agree more. Ark loses to bama and then UK. SC drops a huge lose to LSU (best team in the nation) but they will be fired up under spurrier no matter the game. Ole Miss hangs with UF. UGA over BAMA. ugh. I wish I could go back to the days of wading through the season and coming out dry in Atlanta. . . Sheesh. Although I still think Fulmer needs to go; at this point. . . everything is up in the air.

At this point it reminds me of a teacher I had in High School that was involved in a sex scandal. He was of retirement age and everyone loved him. He was cleared of all charges in court but a stigma hung over him. At the end of the school year he retired and received a standing ovation. Please please please! Phil, realize that it is time and step away. I love you, and want to see you go out on top, so win win win and then hand it off in a non-foster way.

JPW is not a good qb, go look at his season stats compared to Ainge. JPW has thrown 4 td's and 3 ints, real good qb there

Any SEC loss by an SEC east team is good for us at this point...so coincidentally this game is not so good for us. This is assuming of course that our team is actually good enough to be considered in the SEC championship race on down the road.

when he actually throws the ball somewhere near them. ainge has thrown for almost 300 more yards. i'm sorry the guy just isn't good imo. ur right his teammates make him look better than he is
