Discouraging Marvin Austin news....

Last night/this morning, Marvin said in an interview with FSU's rival recruiting editor that he would be visiting FSU on their banquet weekend(last weekend before signing day). For those who don't know, Diddy is batting about .950 on recruits that come in for that weekend. He seldom misses out on a recruit that he wants when they visit then. Unless he changes the visit or Diddy retires, he will likely be a Nole. This is especially discouraging considering our own Brent Hubbs couldn't get ahold of Austin while they did.

Doesn't sound good. I guess the people with the big checkbooks are their for the banquet . Even if we don't get Austin we can still pull out a helluva recruiting class this year.

Yeah, another problem is that one of our current commits(Deshaun Barnes-from that area) is scheduled to visit FSU that weekend with his teammate(Brandon Paul).

somebody send them game tapes of fsu getting reamed by NC State, that should cure that, plus Burt Reynolds, while still cool, doesnt have quite the smae impact on recruits that he used to

Austin did tell some guy on the Vol Walk that he would get his wish(the guy kept telling him to come to UT). Another guy was telling him he looked awful good in orange and Austin told him he was trying to.

It's hard to out recruit the Florida schools now matter who the coaches or team records are. Most kids will take the sun, beach and party babes UF,FSU and Miami have to offer over 95% of anyone else.

FSU is known for making a surge on signing day.

florida st pumps out defensive linemen to the NFL like nobody else. that alone is reason to go there. that and you have to think that they aren't going to stay down and considering the state of the ACC as a whole.....who couldn't win it?
