I have direct tv and ordered southern miss game and it blacked out. Will the same thing happen for tomorrows game since I live in Alabama? Direct TV is offering game

Call and order it over the phone and ask the rep. if it will be blacked out.


I thought if you bought PPV it wouldn't be blacked out anywhere :dunno:



I have had no problems with directv. I like it much better than dish networks. It is much better for sports!!

Usually when a game is blacked out it should be on your local channels. I live in Florida, and ordered it on DirectTv and got it. I was thinking Tennessee was the only state that UT PPV games were blacked out.

It never fails that when I order a game that I have to sit on the phone with these idiots and explain what I want for 45 minutes.How hard can it be to program it so I can see the game.Last year I remember ordering the games a couple of times and come game time I would have to call them and ask why I wasn't getting the game.

Are you in TN? If it blacked out it was because you ordered the gameplan. You have to buy this game all by its lonesome.

i just got direct tv this week, and yes, i can still order gameplan for the weekend, no problem, just like it was on TWC.

i think in TN, the game is on PPV on cable, via the vol network, not sure if that same option is available on direct tv, hence the black out in TN.

This game is not available on gameplan in TN. You can get it its just on a different channel. Its like 638 or something. It wasn't even on the gameplan channel when we ordered the So. Miss game. You should be able to get it no problem.

I am on DirecTV in TN. The deal is if you get Gameplan it will be blocked if you are IN Tennessee. To get it on DirecTV if you live in TN you have to buy it all on its own.

comcast isn't any better...they are unbelievably incompetent

I tried watching the Southern Miss. game on ESPN 360 but got the blackout message until just before the 3rd quarter stared and was then able to watch the rest of the game.

ESPN Gameplan will black out UT games in our area- State of Tennessee. However you have to order The UT Games ala carte PPV. If you order today it is $24.95. If you order tommorrow it is $29.95

Anyone near Cookeville that is watching the game and would allow a birthday boy to watch it with them, let me know. I haven't had a game on my B-day in awhile.
