Direct TV or Dish Network

I thought that was the case. That really sucks. I am over Charter and their crap. I have had issues with both PPV's that I ordered. I was told last time I needed a new box. Went and got one, same issues. Reception is crap. Most channels are analog and fuzzy. Internet access is spotty. Customer service is clueless for the most part. I reall want satelite but I'm not sure I could do without CSS.

I thought I lost my CSS and then the other day, it appeared on a different channel. I was pretty happy about that. :yes:

If you get a satellite, I hope you don't have a lot of trees.

I've NEVER had CSS down here. Cox does not include it on their cable systems.

I don't. I think Comcast is decent down here but it's pathetic what I have to deal with by having Charter.

CSS is only carried on Comcast and Charter networks, they will sell it to cable companies that aren't in direct competition... They are in cahoots on the network. Notice towards the end of the first paragraph... no way Comcast/Charter sells to the satellite companies.

I guess the good news is that these PPV broadcasts are usually availabe on satelite.

What didn't you like about it?

The reception with Dish was disgusting. A fluffy white cloud would make it snowy, and a thunderstorm would knock it out all together. Tidwell has had similar issues, I believe.

That is only for PPV GAMES though, correct?

CSS actually has some decent shows. They replay the Fulmer show, and the game on Mondays.

right. I don't really care about the Fulmer show or the replay as long as I can get it on PPV.

OOOOOH. I thought you were saying that you like CSS for the shows during the week as well.

You should be able to order gameplan for Dish or Direct and get all the Vols games no problem.

I think the gameplan games get blacked out in Tennessee don't they. I thought I read on here that it was not on Gameplan in TN but was available on PPV.

My assumption is that is just for Gameplan offered on cable... the idea is so that they can make more money that way. But if you don't HAVE cable, then how the heck are you going to get the game? Do they offer it standalone on the satellites as well?

yes. Arclight posted something from utsports (or somewhere) showing that the PPV broadcasts are available on Directv and Dish.
