Dilemma of a Tennessee Fan

Should Tennessee get used to being a 4-5 sometimes 6 win season program? Oh the agony.

I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I’m just tired of it. I never thought this would happen, but it has. We are terrible, and I don’t see any quick solution, and maybe no solution at all...we may be dead in the water for a while. Vandy...yes VANDY was just better than us today at every level, and how we ever beat Auburn and Kentucky is beyond me. The sad thing is...I really don’t care anymore. That’s the worst part of alL...

STOP BUYING SEASON TICKETS !!!

You have to get their attention over there. As an ex-board member (athletics), this is the ONLY way to get their attention! Trust me.

Is this always the answer? So tell me, who are you going to go get? If you run your finances like you’d run an athletics program, I feel bad for your family.

You don’t threaten to not buy tickets every single year. Give Pruitt time to get his players and create his program. This is just nonsense.

I’m not renewing mine. Had them for years.

The face value keeps going up while the product on the field gets worse.

Nobody wants them even when they’re free. I can’t give away tickets to a lot of the games.

I’m done with them after this season.

Worked out real good for Butch! Give him time, matter of fact an extension and a raise with a ludicrous buyout.

You don't know how it plays out. Family is very well, thanks for asking.

I don't threaten to not buy tickets every year. I let me 8 go in Section T three seasons ago. If 20,000 called Monday and said they were not renewing, certain people in certain postions (within the university and without) would be forced to make a dramatic chess move that as of yet they have not been willing to make. Till then expect this; ever increasing salaries for the AD on down, and losing seasons. Vandy has now beaten UT 3 of the last 4 years. Have you seen what their AD budget is vs. ours? UTAD had been about enriching 30-40 individuals the last 15 years or so. These are the fruits of such mismanagement. This statement was never about replacing Coach Pruitt. Actually, think we lucked into a decent hire. The problem is WAY deeper than whoever the head football coach is. The University needs a reset. Hiring Boyd as President on a permanent basis would be a good start.

Well no doubt that there have been issues with the school but we made a MUCH NEEDED coaching change last season. I just don’t think now is the time for that. We need kids to want to play for Tennessee. Part of what makes that great is a packed house at Neyland. Problem is the boosters at Tennessee. That’s been a problem for a while now. Raising ticket prices, now that’s another story. It’s partly because we have to pay for all the dumb decisions the admin has made over the years.

I got rid of mine 10 years ago. I could fix the Honduran economy with the money I've saved on tickets, air travel, hotels and trips to Ye Olde.
