This 4th of July. Dry rub maybe. Made your own sauce did you? Talk to me VN, WE are TN's Favor of the south. B-B-Q Bolagna (stuffed with Jalapino), Bratwurst with onions, bell pepper. Brown suger babe, Ribs, no hot dogs or hambuger.:dance2: I know the VN was cook'in. What was the best you had over the whole week? Expound if you wish, I'm all ears. I did judge in the MPS IN MAY this year but, has nothing to do with what YOU did cook'in. I love new creations. Again, I know you wanted some Q ! Tell me.

Smoked six full slabs of ribs. Special dry rub, that includes brown sugar, salt, pepper, etc... 250 degrees for about six hours.

Went in a different direction this year. Made Teryaki Steak-a-bob with veggies grilled on skewers. 3+lb sirloin cut into 1" cubes, marinate in home made teryaki sauce made from soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, & ginger, for at least 2 hours. Put on skewers along with Vidalia onion wedges, zuchinni, bell pepper, & mushrooms that were also marinated for about 1 hour. When grilling baste regularly with suace, and DO NOT OVERCOOK, specially veggies. They should still be slightly crispy, and I cooked the meat so it ranged from rare to med-well. I do not even know what well is, and refuse to know. Finish with pineapple rings also dipped in sauce. For complete effect, serve with Asahi or Sapporo beer. Got raves from guests, feeds 5-6.

balogna , polish sausages , smoked vegtables , plus the wife cooked a butt in the oven and then I smoked it for a couple of hours , keylime and stawberry pies with homemade cookies and ice cream .

plus about 14 of our good friends

lots of beer , the cool water in the pool:)

cooked hot dogs and polish sausage on the boat friday on the lake.....cooked 3 slabs of ribs last night on the grill....and of course SOL
