This is my eat crow thread. JG played very well today. Looked alert and looked like the game slowed for him a little. I was NOT expecting this after SC and Charlotte.

Don't need to see KC. JG, GOOD GAME YOUNG MAN! Play this way against MO and Candy and I will be at the bowl game in December!

Us beating Kentucky like this is one of those last remaining vestiges of the ole time days of Vol greatness. We won like 31 in a row before Dooley lost to a WR QB....and then last years loss....but beating them at Neyland has been one of those traditions we could count on...even through all the garbage we've been through since Fulmer left. This was a BIG win...make no mistake. We can debate whether Ky "deserved" to be ranked 11th in the country...but they were....and we beat 'em handily just like the good ole days.

Great win, but KY is one dimensional. Our OL gave us some opportunities. D played well all game.

I still don't like how we match up with Mizzou, but we should beat candy

I think most people don't care who the QB is as long as he plays well and puts points on the board.

Of the last 3, I thought Ky was the one to win for sure due to their offense. Mizzou will be a tough match up but Vandy will be tough also. Shurmur will play lights out vs Vols as he always does.

I’m happy for the win. All of the QBs counting Wilson we’re facing are good. Not Heisman good but, for UT, they are any given Saturday good. Now I’m trying to prepare myself for Mizzou. Our defense could easily make Drew Lock look like Drew Brees.

Charlotte was a fluke, CJP used it as a teaching tool, we played today

a lot of it is not ALWAYS our inconsistency ...it is the individual matchups. UK could not stop the interior running game with their front 4 , they had to commit backers to stopping the run which took away from their pass rush. This made our offense pop.

Hopefully Mizzou and Vandy have some weaker areas of the matchup that we can benefit from

Nah, we should’ve lost the Florida game. They came in, punched us in the mouth and took the game from us....men vs boys. We play them 10 times this year we might find a way to eek out one win.

SCar on the other hand....definitely should’ve beaten that below average football team.

After tonight a few theories...

1 JG is our QB, end of discussion.

2 I think we game planned for KY even during Charlotte week.

3 Looked like the game slowed finally for alot of the players in their new OF or DF scheme.
