Did we finally open the playbook?

How many of you complaining about play calls know
1) how many different plays and formations and line ups we use?
2) how many plays does an average team have, or an elite team? Maybe more importantly how many plays does it take to play winning football?
3) what additional plays you are looking for?
4) that picking a playbook on Madden is the NOT the same as picking a playbook as an OC in the SEC?
5). what else it would take to say Coach Debord calls a pretty good game?
6) that on reads Josh has a choice to keep the ball and decides based on what would be the most successful?
7). What the idea of quantity vs quality means?

Just saying

Go. Damn. Vols.

All I know is that I could predict what was gonna happen base on a formation we were using and what down/yards we had to go.

I feel like DeBord likes to "set up" plays for that 1 big play. Well, sometimes that could backfire.

It seems like our offense can be very predictable.

For example, LSU smashed Mizzou.. what happened? They called different plays and formations.

Or Mizzou is some trash, but I understand your point,

I notice wrinkles when I watch the game again usually.

33 points a game..right? That's almost 5 T'S a game right? I'll take a guaranteed 33 Saturday and take my chances with our defense.

The whole playbook was open for Tech. We add different wrinkles (formations, motions, personnel) but run basically the same plays based on what we see from the other teams defense.

The only game we tried to play vanilla was Appy State.

If Hurd is not able to play on Sat, then Vols will need to spread the field a little more to get Kamara more running room and probably need to throw up field earlier in the game.

The offense is fine and looks like it's starting to click and I don't think many teams in the country can stop us when we are clicking. Debord hasn't changed the play calling much after half time the players just started executing.

I think execution has improved, and Dobbs is (a) getting a bit better pass protection, and (b) no longer trying to be a statue in passing situations.

Other than that, IMO the playbook has been open since late in the Appy State game. Execution makes a heckuva difference.

We would have blown Ohio away if Dobbs doesn't miss on 3 wide open recievers, two for sure TDs and another to convert 3 and 11 in Ohio territory. And I could give other examples....but execution was there from second half of Florida on. I thought execution good against uga in first half other than two stupid fumbles.
