Nairobi was great, but well drilling for those in need, well, it's the best thing I've done in my 9 + years in the Navy. Hands down.

Attached are pictures from Nairobi, and a hut village that we passed by on our way out here (which is northern Kenya/Somaliland.

Ah, and the camels. The last two won't be so good as they were taken in a vehicle as we passed by...that and I screwed up on the editor thing.:eek:hmy:

I should be back in the States this time next month. Anyone want to give me the skinny on the last 3 games?

First of all, nice pictures and hope you have a safe trip home. Now time for the last three games:

1.) Uneventful victory against South Carolina except for the small detail that Ainge hurt his ankle late in the forth quarter. Tenn 31-24

2.) Ainge started played a few series and gave way to Crompton. JC played admirably in his first meaningful action for the Vols by throwing two TD's to Meachem. LSU scored the winning TD with :09 left. LSU 28-24

3.) Crompton starts his first game for the Vols. Offense looked out of sync almost the whole game and the defense didn't have an answer for McFadden. Ark. 31-14

Fulmer defeated the Dark Lord of SC in a well fought effort from both teams.Jamarcus Russell kept us in the LSU game just long enough to get our hopes up. Arkansas handed us our butts on both sides of the ball and made us like it. Basically we found out we are a pretty good team but not a great team. Just my perspective.

The hippo was hiding. The croc was sunbathing. Never mess with a croc that's sunbathing. :)

I did eat crocodile two days later, though.

Dear God,

Please stop the rain. It's not funny anymore. A drought is a drought. Don't tease me with a 9 year drought to get me here and then make it rain 12 of the first 14 days I show up.

Waking up to the puddle of water underneath my cot was not cool.

Thanks,

AE

Back from Kenya. Had a blast the final few days at the Windsor hotel/golf resort in Nairobi.

I'll never forget my times drilling wells/helping the villagers in Kenya.

There was plenty of sand/dirt. Once you get below the "shallow" surface, though, it was mostly clay.

Over the final days at the well site, we built desks for the school, rescued a flood victim, and distributed food through the World Food Program.

Not sure of the drill "bit" we used, we used two different ones. I could try and get that information before I roll out of here.
