I was listening to Doug Mathews this morning and he said he knows that isn't the case and actually CPF asked if he wanted to make a change during the AU game and Clawson made the call to stick it out. What do you think?

I am just saying I had read on here many times that CPF made the call and here is this insider saying it was exactly the other way around

I don't know. It's easy to blame Fulmer for not pulling him. But I have to believe both of them thought he gave them the best chance. After the Auburn game there is no doubt this offense isn't going anywhere. So it's alot easier. Either way it's going to be a long hard year. Whoever the QB is.

Matthews also said that Coleman was transferring and that just seems to not be the case. I think he is taking up for his buddy Fulmer on the other rumor, but honestly who cares at this point. All these rumors at the middle part of the season is really getting old. I think we need our own forum for the rumors.

Matthews is far from a "insider". He has some opinions based on some small factoid that he let's loose every now and again, but he is just as much a spectator as anyone else. I like Coach Matthews, but he's just a talk show host and has as much insight as anyone else.

i think it happened. A first-yr qb coach on a team is going to stick with the guy he thought earned starter in his eyes early in the season...

Matthews and Fulmer are friends...period. And in the past Matthews has really defended Fulmer but he's been more on Fulmers back this year than years past. BTW/ Matthews and Cut can usually be seen together at the state championships years after year. i've personally seen it many years...even when Cut was at Ole Miss. He may be wrong on Coleman but Matthews is very much an insider when it comes to UT.

Fulmer's probably realizing he made a big mistake in hiring clawson, who is in over his head at this level. This UT offense is terrible.

Which ever way it happened, the decision/non-decision is the responsibility of TCHFCAUTK. Period.

I am thinking the reverse here. Clawson is realizing he decided to work for a fool and is regretting ever signing on with this bunch.
