With 11:52 left in the 3rd quarter, this graphic was drawn on the screen prior to the snap. We then snapped and ran that exact route for a touchdown to Hyatt.

I know sometimes analysts will point out open areas or whatever on the field from time to time, but there was no mention of it before or after it was drawn. Didn't know if anyone else 20221008_185914.jpgcaught that?

Well they are "highly paid football analysts". Perhaps occasionally they know something about football and can see best opportunities based on players lining up.

Romo does a greet job calling NFL games. He knows the play before the ball is snapped and will even comment he’s the QB is “checking to” didn’t an audible. It makes me wonder why def sees don’t catch it if the analysts can.

Off the original topic of the OP but I don't want to start a thread just for my question ....
The (in my opinion) helmet to helmet collision that sent our guys helmet rolling down the sideline but no targeting was called after review. ??? Others thoughts on it ....

Dan O drew that up. It’s like when Romo calls plays on NFL games because he knows as former QB lol

IMO it should have been called targeting. I thought he lowered his head and hit him square in the helmet.
But, we won, we’re 5-0. GBO!

I saw it too - the only time I've ever seen an announcer literally draw up the very next play.

The commentator was beginning the process of explaining how open the middle of the field was, like they did a few times earlier, when we snapped the ball. The commentator just wasn't used to our fast pace. He won't make that same mistake the next time he calls one of our games.

I think he was trying to predict the play based on the formation and the defense, but the play-by-play guy was gabbing and he didn't have a chance to say it until after the play was over.

Although he didn’t have great NFL success, Dan Orlovsky did manage to stay in the league for 12 years. He learned a thing or two about reading defenses, AND how to run out of his own end zone 🤣

Peyton does it too during the Manning cast. Just reads the defense and calls the play .

They talked about the wide safety splits and the open middle of the field several times. WRU showed out today.
This. The safety split kept leaving the slot open and opened the whole field if the outside receiver broke free, which happened quite a lot.
And their CBs are talented.
