When OU drove down the field to score with 8:20 left to make it 17-10, I knew the inevitable was happening.

At that moment, I knew we would get the ball, punt it away, OU would drive right down the field and tie the game with little to no time remaining, go to overtime and get beat.

It was the same nightmare I witnessed a year ago with CBJ, under the same exact scenario.

Checker Neyland, leading by 2 scores in the fourth, and losing a heartbreaker to a team we should've beat.

The difference? One wore an orange helmet and one wore a red helmet.

CBJ, you are an excellent promoter of my University and the football program, but this is the second time (really 3rd, Vanderbilt '13, Florida '14, Oklahoma '15) playing conservatively has cost you a program changing win. I thought you would've learned.

To the players if they read this board: you fought your rear ends off tonight, especially you defensive guys. You guys deserve to win considering the effort you put in and how hard you work.

I don't know what else to say except I saw this same thing happen nearly a year ago.

I'm just disappointed.

Yes. When they brought it within 7 I got that sick feeling in my gut. When they tied it I was feeling worse. When Berry had that big return I was optimistic and when it was negated by a foolish penalty I should have just turned off my tv.

Yep, and that wussy call to kick a FG on the 1 yard line was haunting me. 4 points given up for no good reason.

To me, that's where the losing began. Fearful tepid coaching.

Yes. I started worrying in the 2nd Quarter when our play calling wasn't adjusting to how the OU defense was playing us. Then the 3rd came along and it was more of the same. It was almost like I was waiting for what actually transpired to happen.

Anybody who says anything about the D! Is crazy the Offense let the team down starting with play calling.

I just got a nasty feeling in my gut when the fourth quarter hit and I knew it wasn't going to end well. Was really hoping that it was just me being anxious, but nope. :/

Agree with OP. We just stalled on offense beyond any reasonable explanation. When they scored to make to get to 10, I turned off the TV, but I could not stay away. Then it got real bad.

Funny you say that I was just waiting for that esp coming out the first few series in the second half and went 3 and out.. What sucked was after the Kelly Jr int we didn't capitalize on a score a FG would of been great..

Yes, but Butch needs to learn that some decisions you make get you in that position. He is, as are other coaches, significantly responsible for this.

Yup when OK made it 17-10 I knew it was going to be 2014 Florida all over again.

Ditto, when OU was driving and it as 17-3, I thought they would score two touchdowns, go to overtime, and win it there. We've all been down the same road so many times we know what to expect.
