Did anyone else notice that the announcers made it a point to mention that CBJ was from Michigan more than once tonight? Why? M
y own theory is there is a real fear that Tenn is about to take over in the east with one or 2 more great recruiting classes. Fear the Vols, for something wicked this way comes!

Is your hypothesis (TN is recruiting well) in any way connected to the data (they mentioned Butch's hometown)?

I noticed the announcers riding USCe jocks all night until they missed the FG in OT. Then jumped on the Vols wagon to close the show.

No, actually it is that the media is trying to create some drama where it does not exist in relation to the Michigan situation, and that other schools and coaches and homer media types will keep it going in order to create doubt in recruits minds.....(beer)

Did anyone notice that the announcers sounded "let down" when Tennessee actually won?

I like how they just dropped the subject, when there was an obvious fumble at the end of regulation.

I felt the announcers were pro-whoever was on O at the time. Defenses (deservedly for the most part) didn't get much love that game.

In all fairness, probably a little disappointed that a phenomenal few minutes of football ended with one of the worst OT drives imaginable. Fans (and announcers) could expect there to either be a second overtime, or an exciting game-winning TD. Instead, we got a 58 yard field goal attempt that had no chance of clearing the uprights.

Speaking of which...I have to question Spurrier's decision. That field goal had a next to zero chance of being successful. Like, maybe 1%, tops. If even. Their kicker has a career long of 45 yards, and you are asking him to kick a game tying 58 yarder in overtime? For all we know, he actually doesn't even have to leg to make that kick, let alone to do so accurately.

It seems like there was a much greater chance of converting a 4th and 25. It was a prayer, but at least one that had a hope of being answered.

HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU MISS THAT CALL ON A R E P L A Y ?

What is going on with these officials? That was ridiculous! I can see missing live plays all day. But never when a slow mo video is right in front of your face playing over and over!

When they lined up to kick it, I knew the game was ours if they didn't fake it.

I thought it was a pretty easy call to make as well. I'd like to hear the replay official's explanation

I could live with the refs saying the play stands, cause I didn't see a good view showing the ball come out, but it was clear when he went to the ground, no way he had the ball, so there is no way the play was conformed.

They also noted that Spurrier was from Tennessee and almost played there. Hmmm.....

I honestly think Spurrier just said "screw it" and decided to take the loss.

I thought for sure Spurrier would go for the 4th and 25. However, while young, Frye does have a good leg, so I was somewhat nervous. It was great to see the ball had absolutely no chance of getting there. A huge wave of relief came across me as it was apparent we won. All the sudden it wasn't quite as cold in the stadium, too. What a great feeling! Go Vols!!!
