I was listening to doc jeff and heather in the morning on the way to work. they were talking about d. morley's getting the boot. one of the guys (dont know which one) suggested "if he can't miss practice to get her pregnant, should he miss it to see the child being born?" to which heather and the other guy of course were like "wtf? his CHILD is being born......" to which his reply was "you never know, he mightve tried to get out of practice just to go see him being born"

That was Doc, and yes it was an awful comment. Personally, I think it was so bad the station should release Doc. I actually changed the radio station after that flurry of commentation. Doc is obviously on the "juice" this morning...

That sounds exactly like something Doc would say.

I think he's getting senile. He also said that Michael Phelps getting 8 gold medals and breaking 8 WRs wasn't impressive. He also said that he's never shot an airball in his life (then during a lady vols game at halftime, he shoots an airball in a FT contest against Kiffin...lol). He also said that (back in 2007) that Brandon Warren shouldn't be allowed to play for UT, because he had his shot to join them at first, but chose FSU, and that's a slap in the face to UT, so they shouldn't let him play. Great idea, Doc! Let's turn away all Freshman All-Americans that want to transfer to UT! In fact, let's stop recruiting anybody and everybody that says they are considering another school!

Every time I see this thread I think about Cheech and Chong's movie "Born in East LA". I here Cheech saying "Where were you born?"

That guy Doc is worse than JH. He said this morning that the greens in Augusta are huge and that there is no need for a short game (in ref to Phil Mickleson). WTF? Has he ever been there? It's all short game. Those greens are like postage stamps. Man, and he's picking a fight to try to get this lame point across. i would say that guy's got to go, but i really don't care. i listen to them on the way to work (6 minutes max) and that's it. So, i just assume he stay so we can right stupid stuff about him.

There is your problem right there. Any program on "state run radio" is going to suck. From the 3 amigos in the morning, to Hyams in the afternoon. My advice to you is to turn the dial to anything else!

Sports talk on 102.3 Talk Monster in Chattanooga is the worst program I've ever listened to. The only sport they have any profound knowledge of is baseball. Their blunders are epic. I'll never forget when they were talking about how "Ramone Foster was not running the ball with the authority that he used to." And let's not forget about "Gerard Stewart" from Maryville high who went to play fullback at Auburn. There have been countless blunders of the same magnitude, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

I love how they will talk about football, and then be like "since you like jeff gordon" to one of the guys.....which starts a 35 min dialogue about nascar. I like nascar, but I wanna hear about football.

Haha yeah. They once dedicated half of their show to a freakin' golf tournament. KILL MY FACE!!!!

I really enjoy it when they have entire shows to UTC sports. I know that they are the home town college, but NO ONE CARES!!!

Except for the boosters and fans that pour money into their program.

... But they can all meet in the back corner of Sticky Fingers with room to spare, so I must concede your point.

Hard thing to do since he is the program director. Not saying it can't be done but he does carry some weight. Personally, I think the entire bunch should go. I miss Rome in the afternoon as well.

Not to hijack a thread, it's never been done before, but I made my first trip to the Masters yesterday and I was absolutely AMAZED at how small the greens actually are. On tv, they do look huge. Number 7 is ridiculous. To expand that hole to 450 is asinine. At least, that is what I would be saying if I had to play it.
