It is good to know we lost to a team and doubled the amount of wins they had previous to this game. A 6 run 5th inning killed the Vols. For the second day in a row, our starting pitcher is cruising right along and is yanked to put in long relief only to see them piss the lead away in a matter of 1 inning.

Obviously they were trying to save our normal starters, and today's "starter" was fortunate to have only allowed one run, but he did get us bases loaded with 2 outs, and was pulled.

The relief walked one guy, the next hit a grand slam (he was hitting .116 on the season, btw) then a solo home run the next.

The strategy yesterday was to put everyone and their brother in for middle relief until we found a guy that could stop the bleeding... Wiltz.

Today we left the starter on to dig a hole the team couldn't pull out of. Sounds like middle relief is our weak spot.

tough loss.

I am sure Rod was trying to get some guys some innings heading into the SEC opener this weekend.
