First post here.
I wonder if Pruitt's refusal to name concrete starters and show confidence in them is one of the contributing factors to the lack luster play in the trenches.
Like even if you are reserve going in for an injured or poorly playing stater, it means more when you are going in with the other starters rather than when you are playing with a bunch of guys who the coaches can't make up their minds about and so nobody really knows where they stand.
I think this team can right the ship.
The 2007 Michigan team still went 9-4 and beat Florida in a bowl. Not saying we will do either of those two things, but I believe we pick ourselves up, learn from this and win some games.

Go vols!

I think there is some truth in this. At some point you can't keep not naming guys, saying that one doesn't out do the other. They aren't all equal. You have to pick someone to lead each spot for the ones behind to strive to better. Eventually guys get the idea that no matter what they do, how great they do, that it doesn't matter. That breeds a feck it mentality, so when it things don't have right. It's not your responsibility, place, nor have you practiced caring. You just quit. That's the players, yes. But that's the coaches who've developed that.

I think they just aren’t very good. Maybe they will be, but we are replacing the entire line. And it showed in spades.

Did anyone play like a solid sec starter? Maybe he was on to something
