i don't know how you avoid it with the new kickoff rules. unless you squib it which should give Cal very good field position. Best should be returning kickoffs too and aparently has looked amazing so kicking it to him might not be a lot better (though he is a true freshman).

Was sorta referring to punts, but as some have said, maybe there won't be too many punts.. :p We all hate squib kicks, see the Georgia game we had won a couple of years ago when we decided to squib one and ended up with a "hob nailed boot in our face". Hopefully we will be kicking off to y'all a lot after a parade of td's. Will have to just man up and cover the damn kickoffs..... :thumbsup:

yeah well you run into the same problem on punts. against A&M they tried to kick it away from desean a couple of times and the punts went like 5 and 20 yards. and with colquitt somewhat injured. . .

I have little doubt that special teams could sink UT, but it is much more likely to happen on punts than kickoffs. It is much easier to kick the ball away from a returner on punts.

On that note, I wouldn't be surprised to see some very high kickoffs to the up-backs around the 25 or 30 yard line.

Let me try that again. There will be precious few punts, hopefully, so we won't have to sweat that....

all we r sayin is he didnt do anything last year. i mean he caught an meaningless touchdown last year. yall couldnt even keep longshore upright long enough for him to throw the ball. ik hes a good player and he may verywell have a great game against us but we will just have to wait and see,
