Depth??

Barring any injuries, how does our depth look for next year? I know it'll be better, but good enough? It's 4th quarter of the LSU game right now and you can see the depth problems creeping in. Seems like an improvement considering last year that seemed to happen at halftime. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but this forum seemed like the correct one!

The two deep should be pretty solid across the board next year. I think we return 9 on defense and 10 on offense. We need to have a good recruiting class, though.

If 70% of our roster weren't Freshmen or Sophmores we wouldn't use that excuse. Some people just don't get it.

Do you think if we had Saban as our coach, or Petrino, or any number of coaches, would the result be the same? That is my expert opinion. Will Dooley get you where you want to go? They have players now. The last two recruiting classes show that. No they should not beat LSU, but they should be more competitive at home. Do you disagree? The line was only 17, opened at 15.

Now do not get wrong, I woud not make a change. Actually I like Dooley, I just don't know if he is going to get us to the level we want. Dooley has to be given a chance and this program does not need any change. I think a better coach would make us more competitive. Maybe Dooley will become a better coach. Right now, he does not. I think that is fair.

Good gosh man, all I said was Dooley and everybody loses their minds. Do you talk like that when somebody says something half way bad about Dooley if you are talking face to face to them. I have been going to games since I was four years old. I think we can agree to disagree. Again, I don't hate Dooley. I just wonder if he can get Tennessee back, I don't think he can. Hope I am wrong.

This thread was created as a question, please don't bring the idiotic statements about our coaches! If you would like to do so then feel free to create your own thread or post your thoughts in one of the many fire Dooley threads. I'm not making any excuses for our losing ways. I'm just curious how much better our depth will be next year. SOME mods need the power to just outright ban ip addresses!

Side note: gawd there are a lot of braves fans on here! At least we hate the same team I guess! Lol

Thank you and yes, this next years recruiting class is the most important for DD imo.

You guys are way to sensitive, it was just a joke. I don't want to fire Dooley. To answer your question, yes they will have more depth. How is that?

I'm not sure today had as much to do with depth as it had to do with the fact our defense played close to FORTY minutes...... With Bray out there that doesn't happen, IMO.
