Haven't completely given up on this season, but I was looking at what we have coming in next year and it's hard not to be REALLY excited about next years talent and depth.... I mean I would be worried about the loss of all the senior leadership, but most of these seniors, while talented, really have no basketball IQ anyways. But here is how I think we play out.

C- Kenny Hall, Brian Williams
PF- Tobias Harris (go to scorer that we haven't had in two years), Renaldo Woolridge
SF- Cam Tatum, Jordan McRae
SG- Scotty Hopson, Jordan McRae, Skylar McBee
PG- Trae Golden, Melvin Goins, Josh Bone

All these guys with the exception of Bone will log fairly major minutes. Plus with Tobias you have the flexibility to go big and play Tobias at the 3, Kenny at the 4 and Big Brian at the 5.... that front court would dominate the boards.

And I will tell you what Harris and Golden coming in remind me of Melo and McNamara coming in as freshman for the Cuse in 03... not saying we win a NC but there are similarities. Harris is an inside outside scoring threat and Golden can shoot it a little, nowhere near as well as McNamara, but he is better at creating then McNamara was. Needless to say I like the look of next years team a lot.

I agree, next year's talent could be final four material if they play and act like a team.

You forgot Jeronne Maymon. He will probably play 3/4. Also, I don't think Golden will start at PG. First of all, two gaurd is his natural position, but even at the point, his two biggest problems right now are ball handling and defense. Pretty important areas for a starting PG in the SEC. I think Goins starts next year

Who's gonna step up and be our leader's next year? I think we've had a leadership void since Bradshaw and Lofton.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tobias actually stepped in and became our leader next season. Kid is very mature.

That's what I hear. But it's tough for a freshman to step up and take charge like that.... I just don't really see anyone else. Of course, I'm not in that locker room, so I don't know what the guys are like behind the scenes. Maybe Tatum would? IDK

It can be done. It is tough and you definitely don't see it often, but you also don't see a lot of guys like Harris either.

If Scotty comes back I think someone redshirts. McRae maybe? Mcbee definitely if he gets a scholly.

No we're going to need McRae. I have a feeling Scotty will be up to his same old ways next season. McBee will not be on scholarship. Atleast I hope not.

not a chance that McRae gets redshirted. I doubt anyone gets redshirted. But of the incoming guys, Golden is the only one I could imagine getting the redshirt, and I don't think thats going to happen either.
