SD up by a touchdown at the half. Yet, I do not know if I am happy about this.

For the Chiefs to lock up a playoff spot, all they have to do is win Sunday or lose out and hope that either Miami or Baltimore lose at least one game down the stretch. Since Miami plays New England this week and Baltimore still has to play Detroit, New England, and Cincy, I feel confident that the Chiefs have already locked up a Wild Card spot. And, thus, the Chiefs can spend the next three weeks focused on getting healthy for the playoffs.

However, if Denver loses, then the opportunity to win the division, and thus garner home field advantage, remains open, even though the possibility is slim. Thus, the Chiefs would be playing to win this week and next week, since the Chiefs and Broncos play at the same time. This just leaves more of their starters on the field for longer periods, and the Chiefs lack depth at key positions: OLB, DL, TE, RB, and QB.

24-10.

Granted. I hate the Broncos. And, I'd love to see the Chiefs win the division. I just do not see Denver losing to the Texans or the Raiders. But, a Denver loss means the Chiefs will continue to fight, and play all their starters, through Week 17.

Denver just sunk themselves for a Super Bowl run. The playoffs will likely go through New England and Peyton has a very difficult time beating Tom Brady. That's freaking great.

Or, rather...in a glorious display, PM goes on the road to NE and beats Tom Brady en route to a second Super Bowl and likely retirement.

Da NFL loves its storylines.

They really hurt their chances for the No. 1 seed that's for sure. NE controls their own destiny now. Denver has to win out on the road, which I think they will do because the competition is weak, but us Broncos fans have to also become Dolphins and Ravens fans the next two weeks.

I seriously don't see Manning retiring after this season, even if they win the Super Bowl (unless he gets injured badly). I see at least 2 more seasons.

Exactly. Manning is will not opt for retirement without having surpassed Favre in passing yards and TDs.
