After reading 100s and 100s and 100s of post through the years and 100s just since Saturday, I have just realized while I thought so many fans on here are not understanding my thoughts and they don’t like my thoughts. It’s because we have 2 definitions / types of fans. We all want the same things. Win every game. Be champions. But our thoughts are different.

Me I call a realist: We got beat by a pretty good team because the QB played bad, the coaches made no adjustments, coach mismanaged the clock, everybody else will also improve, the Oline coach has never had a HS recruit turn into an all conference player, we aren’t very good, etc etc

Other fans call me a nega vol or troll: They say we played the #1 team close, the Oline had a bad day, , the coaches / players will learn from this, we will improve, if not for injuries, we need to pay more money, they just had that one big play, etc etc

I don’t want Heupel fired, I enjoy winning. I just do not want to make excuses. Every coach with money faces the same issues. Few teams can hold the mountain top long. Too much changes, but when my tax dollars are paying HCs $10M per year (More in 1 year than I make in 5+ lifetimes) I hold him accountable to not lose games because of coaching errors. I love every major sport at Tenn and I hold every coach and paid player accountable in my posts. No excuses win or lose. I will take winning every game by 1 pt or 1 run but will not make excuses if we lose by one, regardless if that rival is ranked #1

I think as to fans, there are more definitions to accurately cover it than just 2. No offense

Sorry, I too identify as a realist and I’m an old man so I was here first. So we need to see how much you agree with me to decide if you’re right or not.

Tax dollars are not used in the athletic department.

Loss was 98% on the Oline.
The Oline is 100% on Heupel

OP, I’m a realist too and like you, called a nega. It sucks but is what it is.
